Nice photos and a visit to Marseille MUCEM - Photos de Nice et visite au MUCEM de Marseille

Front of the building where I have a 10 square meter studio, a chambermaid bedroom in the old days.
It includes a sofa, dresser, counter-type kitchen and Italian shower, that is a very tiny ceramic-tiled toilet with a shower head on a wall. (Yes, I have a squeegee!)

MARSEILLE AND ITS BEAUTIFUL MEDITERRANEAN CIVILIZATIONS MUSEUM
From Nice, it is a 2 h 30 train ride to arrive in the city center, two subway stations from the Old-Port and the sea. The MUCEM visit is a must, its architecture being worth even more that its exhibitions. Its link with the old Fort St-Jean and the reflections of the cathedral on its glass wall are simply dazzling.

MARSEILLE ET SON MERVEILLEUX MUSÉE DES CIVILISATIONS MÉDITERRANÉENNES
De Nice, il faut 2 h 30 en train et on arrive au centre de la ville, à deux stations de métro du Vieux-Port qui s'ouvre sur la mer. La visite du MUCEM s'impose encore plus par son architecture que par son contenu. Son raccord avec le Fort St-Jean et ses réflexions de la cathédrale laissent tout simplement béat.

The lace-pattern panels are made of compressed ciment, polished and painted in an anthracite shade that make them look like steel.

Even the sky took effort in creating a dramatic scenery.

 The Old Port and its Ferris wheel (as everywhere, it seems), its vast plaza, restaurants, bars, and the way toward the MUCEM. A lovely walk.

Le vieux port et sa grande place avec grande roue (comme partout, il semble), restaurants, bistros, et chemin vers le MUCEM. Une jolie promenade.
